Thinkery Interactive Children's Museum: A Different Kind of Experience

"What is a children's museum?" you might ask. Well, it's a place where kids can come to learn about different topics in an interactive way!

This is exactly what the Thinkery Interactive Children's Museum of Austin, Texas offers - they have exhibits on space, health, and social studies for little learners of all ages!

This is a great way to spend an afternoon with your children. They will be able to learn things in a fun and interactive way! You don't have to worry about them not being engaged or entertained - they will have so much fun that you might even sneak away for some coffee at Starbucks while they play!

A short history of the Museum

The Thinkery Museum was founded in 1981 as part of the Austin Children's Museum. It was originally located in a small home on West Anderson Lane and moved to its current location at Mueller Lake Park in late 2015.

The mission statement of Thinkery is simple: "We ignite curious minds through interactive experiences that inspire wonder, creativity, and curiosity."

Interactive exhibits are top-notch

There are many interactive exhibits at the Thinkery including a climbing wall, a robotics lab where you can build your robot from scratch with Legos, a giant bubble tube filled with over a million bubbles, a green screen photo booth where you can create your movie clips and record yourself as part of the video.

Some exhibits allow kids to see how things work such as an engineer's workshop with real tools from around the world, a computer lab for coding classes, and visitors can even build their inventions in Invention land.

The museum is a place for kids of all ages

The Thinkery is a great place to take your kids on the weekend, and even better if you have more than one child. Many interactive exhibits allow for siblings or friends of different ages to play together at once. It's also fun just being there as an adult with no children in sight! The museum offers plenty of educational experiences for adults and kids alike.

It is a great place to visit if you're looking for something different than your average museum experience!
